Lily of the Valley #2 is a ceramic sculpture that draws from the contradiction within the flower itself: delicate in appearance, yet highly poisonous. The vessel-like form is pierced with hollow openings, where soft pink traces gather around the edges like stains, wounds, or lingering marks of contact. A gold-luster spider rests on the surface, adding both attraction and danger to the work.
Rather than presenting beauty as something harmless, the piece reflects on a more complex form of blessing—one that can protect, seduce, and wound at the same time. Through ceramic form, glaze reaction, and metallic detail, Lily of the Valley explores the tension between tenderness and toxicity, offering and harm, intimacy and unease.
