“Möbius” is an ongoing series developed through colored clay, vessel forms, and continuous knot-like structures. Inspired by the Möbius strip, the works use loops with no clear beginning or end to explore ideas of continuity, protection, and enduring connection.
The series began from a personal experience of loss. After the passing of my first beloved cat, I wanted to create a form that could hold memory and affection without relying on direct representation. The Möbius-like knot became a way to express a love that continues beyond physical presence: circling, returning, and remaining unbroken.
Wrapped around the body of each vessel, the colored clay ropes function as both ornament and structure. They hold, protect, and connect the surface, suggesting a bond that persists through time and change. As the series develops, these forms have become an important part of my broader sculptural language, extending beyond vessels into future works about memory, attachment, and permanence.
