Whipped Cream is a ceramic tableware series inspired by the texture and gesture of piped cream. Before working with clay, I had a deep passion for baking and French pastry, where precision, temperature, timing, and touch are essential to the making process. Over time, I began to notice how closely pastry and ceramics mirror one another through their attention to material, tools, and transformation.

For this series, refined porcelain slip is filtered, blended, and adjusted to a consistency similar to whipped cream: firm enough to hold its shape, yet soft enough to be piped. The slip is then used to decorate cups and bowls, creating delicate cream-like forms on the surface.

By bringing pastry techniques into ceramic making, Whipped Cream explores the shared language between food and clay. The series transforms everyday tableware into objects that feel gentle, tactile, and quietly sweet.
